Welcome everybody!
I am Jana and let me say first of all that I really appreciate your visit!
If you have a few moments, join our community and share with us, where you come from, what you do most of your time, what are your experiences with good Whisky, why you drink it, how you enjoy it most, which were your best stories around Whisky…
I am not the main person here, but at the beginning let me introduce myself. I am a European born lady, who lived most of her time in Germany, but also some years in Czech Republic. Jana is the name I got in Czech Republic and I will use it here, because most of my friends there know me with this name. I have 3 kids, which are more or less adult (at least by age) and two of them are already out of the house, starting their own life.
I am an engineer and unfortunately not lucky enough inheriting or marrying a rich person, so I have to spend a good part of my time working (I suppose most of you are sharing my destiny).
In my free time, I am driving my motorbike, spending time with my family and my friends, which is not always easy, because they are meanwhile living all over Europe. I take the occasions to see them as often as possible, but sometimes I have to be satisfied with a mail, a Facebook post or a phone call.

I love travelling and I try to organise at least one or two trips per year. Especially I am fascinated about the beauty and history of Scotland (on the pic you see me on the ferry to Edinborough). And – you will have guessed – I love Scotch Whisky.
I can say that I am definitely not a drinker – I couldnt if I want to do my job. Well, let me admit, that I could have been more careful when I was younger… but who wants to give advice to a teenager? 🙂 Today I love good alcohol, as pleasure, as experience, as a great common subject to share with others. I spend money on good stuff without regretting. And I would rather drink nothing than something of bad quality. Up to now I can say that I am in good health, energetic and happy, so maybe it was – at least for myself – a good choice.
And now I am curious about you… one of those who dropped in at this blog.
This page has a Whisky shop, where I will offer only the brands I know and that I can suggest to you. But it is also a meeting room for the Whisky lovers to communicate with us and to share our common hobby together. Everybody is welcome, no matter from which country or which language he speaks. I will try to translate your posts in English, German and Czech language, which are the languages we started our project. Please forgive me if one of my translations should not be perfect – of course you are always welcome to correct me! The target is just, to make all the interesting posts understandable to everybody.
Like any conversation platform, also this one needs some rules to make sure that it will be a positive add to the community. So here are ours:
1.) Please do not make any insulting or offensive comments.
2.) Please do not enter any pornographic, criminal or unethical content.
3.) Please try to put your subject somehow around the subject of this platform, which is “All about Whisky”.
4.) Please do not enter any personal data of people you did not ask before for their agreement. I am sure there are ways to tell your story without this data.
5.) Whisky4you reserves the right to delete this data and exclude members who are not following the rules from this platform.
6.) Whisky4you will try to avoid anything which is hurting other individuals, still it is impossible to guard permanently all comments. For this reason Whisky4you excludes any responsibility for the comments posted here.
Finally let me say that besides of these rules, I believe in personal responsibility and good education of this community. In general, high quality Whisky drinkers have rarely disappointed me in this point. So, please feel free to leave a short introduction of yourself with any information you like to share. And let us know what you think can be interesting for us!
I am looking forward to your comments!
Best regards, Jana
