Let me briefly talk about my hard day´s experience ….
Maybe you know how to return home after a stressful day, somehow still angry that someone had upset you all day and you are still not ready for a happy family atmosphere?
In such a situation, I let a dram of Old Ballantruan run into a nice nosing glass, turn on some Scottish music, and sit down on the terrace…just a few moments on my own.
Take my time to work out daily impressions and bring my feet back to the ground. Concentrating on the different flavors of wood, spice and fruit, turns my attention away from the daily stress, back to myself, and I begin to enjoy the moment.
Then I look at the bottle, imagine those people on the picture to bring in the peat, for sure hard work, while the sun goes down – so different from our everyday work in the offices. Maybe I see this a little too romantic? I can imagine that they were really tired after work, but free in their mind – maybe more than we modern workaholics.
Feeling the dram and the heat of the day running down, I’m ready for my family. Now I can smile at the children’s noise…
A great tradition that I really love!
