GlenDronach 15 years Revival
GlenDronach 15 Years Revival is one of the few single malts which mature exclusively in sherry barrels. The first 15 year old single malt of its kind was launched in the 1990s. 2009 another 40% bottling from Oloroso sherry barrels was launched. It was considered one of the best sherry-aged single malts in Scotland at the time. Due to the high demand, this bottle was no longer available in 2015.
After a three-year break, the Glendronach 15 Years Revival followed in 2018 with an alcohol content of 46%.

The publication was awarded the highest possible award “Double Gold” at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2018. The gold shimmering mahogany color of the GlenDronach 15 Years Revival comes exclusively from the barrels and is neither colored nor cool filtered.
Where does it come from?
The GlenDronach distillery was was founded by James Allardice in 1826 and is located in the southeast of Speyside in the Scottish Highlands, travelling through the fertile Forgue Valley near the village of Huntley. The waiver of the basic maturation in ex-Bourbon barrels, which is the main maturation for most Scotch whiskies, is practiced at Glendronach with a lot of experience and a special features of some of their famous whiskies. The result are some very full-bodied single malts with a deep, fruity-sweet character.
How does the GlenDronach 15 Years Revival taste?
The intoxicating aroma of maraschino cherries is noticeable with the first breath. Ripe blackberries and dark mint chocolate develop to a deep complexity in the taste with aromas of orange bitters, walnut liqueur and honey-glazed stone fruits in muscovado sugar. The intense finish is reminiscent of Manuka honey, herbal bitters and dark chocolate for a long time. The Scottish distillery character of GlenDronach, married with Spanish sherry flavors, has produced a wonderful single malt that is ideal for a cold winter evening or as a dessert.
