Description
Tobermory 15 years Brandy finish Single Malt
The 15 year brandy finish single malt from Tobermory is a powerful whisky, matured for 11 years in ex-Bourbon barrels and another 4 years in Spanish brandy barrels.
It comes with wonderful fruit aromas of oranges, grapes and dry plums. Spicy notes and a hint of chocolate and coffee follow on the tongue. The distillery’s location on the Isle of Mull adds a light maritime note in the finish.
The Tobermory Isle of Mull collection
With the 15 year brandy finish single malt, Tobermory brings one of the last two editions of the fascinating rarity collection to the market. The series of 6 unique bottlings shows the different colors of the house fronts of Tobermory Bay on the Isle of Mull. There is a chance to win a bottle of the Tobermory “Once in a Life” 42 years if all 6 bottles of the series are collected. In each gift box there is a small brochure with a numbered perforation strip in different colors. If you send all 6 strips to the distillery, you will take part in the raffle.
Where does he comes from?
Tobermory was founded in 1798 by John Sinclair. and is on the outskirts of the port town of Tobermory on Mull Island in the middle of the Western Highlands of Scotland. Just like other distilleries, there have been various changes of ownership, closings and reopening over time. Today the distillery is owned by Burn Stewart Distillers (CL World Brand Ltd.). The storage of the barrels was moved to the Deanston Distillery. Tobermory is now the only whisky distillery on the Isle of Mull that, in addition to whisky production, is committed also to local art and nature conservation.
