Talisker 25 year Single Malt
The Talisker 25-years Single Malt is a noble, well-matured Scotch and one of the few in the range of the Talisker distillery with age indication. This special bottle was first introduced in 2004 as a limited edition and is until today appreciated by Whisky lovers. It comes with a beautiful high-quality gift box. So far, it has won gold three times at the “San Francisco World Spirits Competition”.
Unfortunately, we don’t know how long the distillery’s stocks of these precious barrels will last.
Since 1830, the Talisker family, with its 200-year history, is well-known for intense and powerful single malts with a significant smoke aroma. Talisker uses two traditional wash stills to produce the low wines from the abundant peaty malt. Three spirit stills are used for the second firing process, the condensers are still coil-shaped to create a fuller taste. Finally, the Talisker whisky is combined with the water of the 14 springs that feed the Talisker Distillery. The water flows over peaty ground and thus contributes to the unmistakable overall impression of the Talisker whisky.
How does it taste?
The Talisker 25 years Single Malt combines noble elegance and the complexity of a quarter of a century maturation. Fruit and chocolate sweetness are accompanied by tingly and spicy pepper notes, licorice and smoky-salty nuances. The complex variety of flavors clearly prove the indicated age. It comes with a composition of harmonic aromas, covered with velvet peat smoke on the one hand and on the other hand a very self-confident, spicy character with a wonderfully long finish.
