All about Whisky
Let´s talk about Whisky
For me, Whisky is a stimulant, a tradition, an enjoyment. But it comes also with an interesting technology, a lot of manufacturing experience, secrets of each distillery, different philosophies, how to enjoy it the best way, and above all that, many exciting stories.
Whisky production is connected to the history of the Scottish clans and kings of Northern Europe, to oppressors, freedom fighters, heroes and smugglers. Last but not least, any good scotch has the flavor, aroma and design of the landscape of its origin. The bogs of Scotland with the peaty soils, wind and storm, the sea with its algae and iodine-rich aromas, the clear springs of the Highlands and Lowlands, etc. are present in the corresponding whiskies from these areas and their traces are found in every bottle.
This blog is meant to tell some of these impressions and stories. You are invited to comment and complete it.
Maybe I should mention that this is not a page about my person, I am not looking for a boyfriend or husband (I am mentioning this for a certain reason). For the ones who are looking for that, there are dedicated websites for this purpose which will be much more suitable.
This website is “All about whisky”, made for whisky lovers and the ones who are interested in the backgrounds. Having said this, I want to mention that I am interested in talking to everybody, who is interested in this subject, no matter where he/she comes from or what is the experience level or attitudes. So, send me your pictures, stories and experiences around whisky. I am looking forward to reading your stories and I hope you enjoy reading mine!
Enjoyment of alcoholic beverages
And let me say a few last words about alcoholic drinks. Whisky is a high percentage alcoholic beverage and when you are consuming it you should be aware of this fact and consider your own physical and health condition. We do not sell whisky to underage persons and strongly recommend not to let minors drink high percentage alcohol.
I have been enjoying whisky for many years and I have not become an alcoholic, since I consume it in small quantities and not on a regular basis. In addition, I enjoy only high-quality products whose origin I know (and these are also quite expensive for the consumption in large quantities!). One or two drams on one weekend evening have not caused me any health problems so far. But that can be individually different. So, consult your doctor to find out if you are allowed to drink alcohol. Act responsibly with this enjoyment. And keep in mind: excessive alcohol consumption is no longer a pleasure. You also do not eat 5 cream cakes every day, right? This would certainly harm your health as well after some time. For more information on alcohol consumption, I recommend this link.
And now I’m looking forward to your stories and comments on “All about Whiskey”!
